Our next summer day trip is to lovely Latourell Falls in the which is very near to the famous Multnomah Falls in the Columbia River Gorge. You'll be picked up by a friendly FOCUS volunteer at 10am at the FOCUS Meeting Place on Friday, July 10th. You'll be returned to the same location around 3pm. We will drive to the falls site and have a potluck lunch together so please bring something prepared along with you that feeds 4-6 people. This item should not need reheating.

We'll play several large-group outdoor games both before and after eating. You can have the option of going on both a long and a short hike, or just the shorter, non-strenuous hike (the longer hike does involve some elevation gain). Both hikes end at a beautiful waterfall, with the larger of the two waterfalls at the end of the shorter hike. When we leave to return to campus we will stop in Cascade Locks, OR to enjoy some ice cream.

Please wear good walking shoes, bring a refillable water bottle, dress for the weather (it typically is a little cooler in the Gorge compared to downtown Portland), and $5 cash to help cover the cost of fuel. This fee should be paid directly to your FOCUS driver. Also, bring money for the ice cream cones at Cascade Locks East Wind Drive-In; they are famous for how large they are...the small ones ARE "large" and they cost $4 -$5. See you then!
