WHAT: This is your opportunity to experience riding a horse at Royal Ridges Retreat in Yacolt, Washington, 35 miles (56 kilometers) north of PSU, in the tranquil and scenic foothills of the majestic Cascade Mountain range. The camp has 390 acres of breathtaking hills, trails, pastures, and streams that wind their way to Andersen Lake.
Staff will assist you as you learn about riding a horse. You will ride on trails that go through a wooded area. If the conditions are rainy, the riding will happen in an indoor arena.
Participants will learn new skills, meet new challenges, make life-long friends, and learn about themselves in a positive and caring environment.
Before the ride, we will have a potluck lunch at Cedar Creek Grist Mill. Please bring food to share that can be eaten without warming or cooking.
